I was lucky to be able to visit when I did. It was very live time in the lives of the Jake and Nathan.
I was able to pass through some of the rights of being an uncle. Establishing me someplace. I hope that I can live up to some of what is expected.

We made a number of movies. You can see them on the other haashaus blog. It was very fun working with the two movie makers. Thier imaginations were on overload as the ideas and ways to make things happen evoloved. They were both good at explaining what they thought and mostly open to new ways of doing things or other ideas. Jake was a very good director, he began to learn some language such as "cut" and "action". He loved the equipment. And was very careful with it.

In the morning, Jake made shakes for us. He put asparagus and brussels sprout, liver and onions, grapefruit and rocks into the orange juice, milk and yogurt. Then he blended it all up in the blender. And we drank it for breakfast..... just kidding.

One has got to fun humor in what happened on the ice while we were skating. We found a way to break the rules. You are not allowed to carry a child while skating. You are not allowed to push a child on a bunch of buckets. And you are not allowed to race. We did all three of these things at once. The rink attendant came out and cut us off finally and in exasperation asked us to not do what we were doing....

It was a simple thing. Cutting out cardboard from cereal boxes. Then chopping them square on the paper cutter and the sizing paper and folding it to fit in side.
we made books, They sewed them on the machine with progressively less and less help. Then they did drawings on the pages and then has us write out the stories they dictated. They were wonderful stories filled with suprises and twists. Heros and villians, love and dreams.
